The “Gilmore Girls” ice cream flavor has been announced and Rory and Lorelai would approve
We have a long list of things to celebrate when it comes to Gilmore Girls this fall, not the least of which is apparently that Gilmore Girls now has its own ice cream flavor? Obviously we’re super excited for the upcoming Year in the Life reboot, and we basically burst into tears at every new picture and teaser trailer that is released, but this is like… next level. Since there’s little the Gilmore girls love more than sitting down to watch movies or TV with an array of amazing snacks, we’re pretty pumped to have Gilmore Girls ice cream to go with our reboot.
The ice cream flavor comes from Brooklyn-based creamery, Ample Hills, and it’s called “They Scoop Gilmores, Don’t They,” a reference to the episode “They Shoot Gilmores, Don’t They” (y’know, the twenty-four hour danceathon where Rory and Dean break up and Luke and Lorelai have some REAL cute moments).
According to the Instagram caption, They Scoop Gilmore Don’t They tastes like “Coffee (of course) chocolate pudding ice cream (because Emily is trying it after all) but oy, with the snickerdoodles already — topped with pink [Pop Tart] sprinkles.”
We definitely think Lorelai and Rory would approve.
