We know which “Gilmore Girls” episode will be the most ~emotional~ and there’s no way we’re ready

When Gilmore Girls: A Year in the Life lands on Netflix, it won’t be like four new episodes of the series, but four MOVIES. Each one will clock in at about 90 minutes, and that’s double what an average Gilmore Girls episode used to run back in the day (an average of 42 minutes, but you probably knew this already).

With 79 days to go before we can see A Year in the Life with our own eyes, it’s time to start mentally preparing ourselves in whatever way we can. And now, we know what episode we need to SUPER prepare for, so spare no expense getting ready for “Fall.” It’s going to be a doozy.

The episodes will go “Winter,” “Spring,” “Summer,” and then “Fall,” and talking to TVLine, Amy Sherman-Palladino hinted that the last mini Gilmore Girls movie will have “the biggest events.”

“Each [episode] has a fairly big journey and are pretty distinct from each other. [But Fall is] the culmination of the journey,” Sherman-Palladino explained. “So there are a lot of moments. And a lot of soul-searching and resolution. ‘Fall’ is very emotional.”

Oy, how emotional is ~VERY~ emotional? Basically, how many boxes of tissues should we arm ourselves with when we settle in to watch it? Should we bring reinforcements, in the way of coffee and pizza? Should we already plan to call into work “sick” the following week in order to mentally and physically recover? Asking for a friend.
