Rory Gilmore and Paris Geller visited Chilton during “Gilmore Girls: A Year in the Life” and it was a 2003 wayback playback
We have been learning so much about the lives of the characters on Gilmore Girls since the release of the Gilmore Girls: A Year in the Life episodes dropped on Netflix. So much has changed with each character but when Rory Gilmore and Paris Geller visited Chilton, their old alma mater, it was like we stepped back into a time machine to 2013.
Both Paris and Rory were asked to come back for their Chilton day, where they go back to the school and talk with the new students about life at Chilton, what they learned and any advice for going forward.
Both Rory and Gellar seemed eager to talk to the new students and walking into the school they have the same reaction anyone has to going back to their school — were they ever really “that small.” Paris, of course, scared a teacher she said “Hi” to because he remembered her abrasive attitude and then entered headmaster Charleston.
Rory was her usual charming self and gave advice that seriously we could use in our everyday life right now. Paris terrified everyone with her brutal honesty of the not-so-pretty parts of life in a way only she can deliver.
But, it when both ladies were done talking to their classes, Paris and Rory spotted another wayback character that brought out Paris’ inner 2003 — Tristian!
The second she saw him, she hightailed it to the ladies bathroom, kicked everyone out and it was like every dramatic scene from the early episodes where Paris was borderline panicking and Rory was doing her best to calm her down.
And no Chilton visit would be complete without Francie, basically Paris’ mortal enemy and their interaction years and years later was no different. They traded insults and some subtle and not-so-subtle jabs at each other before Francie leaves the bathroom with the last dig about the Puff Girls.
After Paris calmed down, Rory stopped in to see Headmaster Charleston again before she left and he had a very interesting job proposition after sitting in on her talk with the students. We thing she would be absolutely amazing as a teacher there, but is that’s really where her future will go?
