Gillian Jacobs wants us all to learn computer science
Just because Gillian Jacobs doesn’t quite understand computer science doesn’t mean it’s not important. The actress recently joined Amy Pohler’s website Smart Girls At The Party at the “White House Champions of Change for Computer Science Education” event, and she told Jimmy Fallon why it’s important to fight for this cause.
It’s all part of an initiative created by President Obama called “Computer Science For All” that is pushing for computer science to be a part of the curriculum for every student. Gillian herself made a documentary about a computer coder during World War II. They are just two of many people advocating for increased education about computer science, especially for women. It’s so important in this modern world to be a part of the new technology, especially if, like Gillian, you don’t yet understand it.
