Gigi Hadid’s mom gave her a helping hand on the red carpet (because moms are heroes)
Even famous models need their moms. And Gigi Hadid proved that while on the red carpet at the British Fashion Awards (now known as just the Fashion Awards) in London on December 5th. While Hadid won the title of International Model of the Year at the event, that didn’t mean that she still didn’t need her mom by her side for some assistance.
Wearing a silver Atelier Versace jumpsuit, Hadid was striking even though Vanity Fair called the train of her jumpsuit “cumbersome.”
While that descriptor might seem a little harsh, we guess it was pretty accurate as photos from the red carpet showed Hadid’s mom — Yolanda Hadid — helping her oldest daughter out.
Trains are not easy to navigate, especially in stilettos. And Yolanda knew just how to assist her daughter so that her red carpet photos were flawless. Not only because Yolanda was once a model herself, but because she’s a mom and that’s just what moms do — step in and help when they’re needed by their kids.
Yolanda even stood by attentively as Gigi got solo photos taken.
The Fashion Awards were truly a family affair for the Hadids since Gigi’s sister Bella was there, too — and was also nominated for the International Model of the Year award.

The Hadids have been having a pretty amazing end of 2016 with first the Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show in Paris and now the Fashion Awards in London. And both women are lucky to have a supportive mom by their side as they continue their ascent to supermodel stardom.
