Gigi Hadid fights off man who grabs her body, we fully support and applaud her
Supermodel Gigi Hadid has been receiving backlash on social media after video surfaced of a stranger grabbing her in Milan as she walked to her car, surrounded by security.
As the video shows, Gigi fights back when the man grabs her and lifts her off the ground, elbowing him in the face so that she can free herself.
Her sister, Bella, can be heard yelling, “Let go of her!” in the background (along with all of us, while watching the vid). When the man then finally lets her go and runs off, a security guard has to hold Gigi back as she attempts to tell the stranger off for touching her. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YPdwSYtM00I
Some headlines have accused Gigi of “lashing out” and acting inappropriately, calling the stranger simply an “overzealous fan.” Gigi, however, is simply not having it.
“Thank you. The actual fans that were there can tell you what happened. I’m a HUMAN BEING,” Gigi tweeted in response to a Huffington Post writer who defended her online.
THANK YOU Rachel.
To unknown article writer: fan?!!! The ACTUAL fans that were there can tell you what happened. I'm a HUMAN BEING — https://t.co/G7Pbp0G8yP— Gigi Hadid (@GiGiHadid) September 22, 2016
Supposedly, the man grabbed her because he thinks Gigi doesn’t deserve to be on the cover of Vogue, which she landed earlier this summer and ROCKED. Whatever his reasons, what happened in that video was simply not okay.
NOT OKAY AT ALL.
and had EVERY RIGHT to defend myself. How dare that idiot thinks he has the right to man-handle a complete stranger. He ran quick tho 👊🏼😏🐱

Despite the baffling idea that Gigi didn’t have the right to react the way she did, she’s getting a ton of support on social media as well and it’s great to see.
Do not even TRY to mess with Gigi Hadid 👊👊 #YesGirlYes pic.twitter.com/Qob5x8GiVe
