If you’re gay, getting married in Indiana, and desperately want pizza, Zach Braff and Donald Faison have your back
Did you hear that story about the pizza place in Indiana that got all that national media and Internet attention for refusing to cater gay weddings? If you heard that story, then you probably also heard that supporters raised $842,397 on GoFundMe to support this inequality. Did this all bum you the heck out? It bummed us out, too.
The fact that now Indiana is a state where it is legal to cite “religious grounds” as a reason to refuse an LGBTQ customer has really shaken us up. Thank goodness Zach Braff and Donald Faison, AKA our beloved J.D. and Turk from Scrubs, have come to the rescue to fight for equality in the straight-up sweetest and most adorable way humanly possible.
As the Huffington Post reports, Braff recently took to Twitter and promised social media that if a gay couple “really and truly” wanted pizza at their Indiana wedding, Braff and Faison would MAKE that pizza. And apparently, according to the photo they tweeted, they made this noble vow while crossing the ocean via speedboat.
This is not the first time Zach Braff and Donald Faison have fully won us over with their friendship. I mean, just reflect on this photo:
Or this one:
We love these guys and we especially love what they’re doing to promote and show their support for LGBTQ rights. We also really hope at least ONE LGBTQ wedding takes Zach and Donald up on their sweetheart offer, because we bet pizza tastes EXTRA awesome when it’s made in celebration of equality.
