Get ready: Taylor Swift’s new song is dropping at midnight

Feel like staying up late? Good. Because Taylor Swift is dropping a new song at midnight — which is just making us even more excited for the release of her new album Reputation. Luckily, we don’t have too much longer to wait — the album will hit shelves on November 10th.

At this point, fans of Swift have a pretty decent idea of what Reputation is all about. Back on August 24th, she released her lead single, “Look What You Made Me Do.” In it, she pretty much warned fans that the “old Taylor is dead,” adding a bit of intrigue to each and every song release.

But one thing about her music has stayed the same. As per usual, fans have been trying hard to decipher who these songs are about, and what events in Swift’s life her lyrics are referencing.

Swift is well known for writing her songs solo, or with a small team — she doesn’t outsource the lyrics, meaning that every tune she’s written has likely been inspired by something that happened in her life. Sure, a lot of her songs are influenced by past relationships, but the singer rarely calls it out — instead, she leaves hints to leave fans guessing.

The upcoming song is called “Call It What You Want,” and as of right now, we don’t know much about it — just that Swift teased some of the lyrics, we think, on Twitter.

"Holding my breath / Slowly I said / 'You don't need to save me... / But would you run away with me?' / ...'Yes'," the image reads.

“Call It What You Want” will be the fourth song we’ll hear from Reputation. Aside from “Look What You Made Me Do,” Swift has also released “…Ready For It?” and “Gorgeous” during the last few weeks.

We’ll be waiting patiently at midnight to hear what this new single is all about.
