A “Suicide Squad” and “Gotham” crossover may happen and we’re totally geeking out!

If you’re a fan of FOX’s Gothama show about how, well Gotham became Gotham — then you probably know that the writers are pretty obsessed with their villain origin stories.

Which is why it makes a crazy amount of sense that they’re considering writing in some of the characters featured in this summer’s Suicide Squad. That’s right. Let the geeking out begin!

According to Vulture, the show’s executive producer John Stephen revealed some scintillating tidbits during a Television Critics Association’s press conference.

“We will be seeing proto-versions of some of [the Suicide Squad] characters; we’ll see a proto-Killer Croc version. And we’ll be seeing a character — perhaps not this season, but in times to come — who can be a forerunner for Harley Quinn,” he said.

OMG! A young Harley Quinn? Did we hear that right?

Stephen hinted that, true to Gotham form, you’ll probably be able to figure out which characters go on to become mega baddies in the future if you’re paying close enough attention.

“If you see someone who has a scientific anomaly to their skin [and] it grows in a certain way [it’s likely] I’m going to take that and grow Killer Croc from that in the future,” he said.

We’ll be looking mighhhty close at the upcoming season to see if we can spot any of our Suicide Squad favorites. And we’ll definitely be freaking out if we spot any super flexible psychotic blondes who answer to the name of Harley.
