Did you get congratulated on your non-existent baby this week?

A slew of ladies (and men) got an inbox surprise this week when photo-printing service Shutterfly erroneously sent out an e-mail blast congratulating users on their new baby.

The email, which pictures a little girl kissing the forehead of a newborn, read: “There’s nothing more amazing than bringing a new life into the world. As a new parent, you’re going to find more to love, more to give, and more to share.”

A sweet message, but not for the people who received the note who were, emphatically, not recent parents.

The company noticed the mix-up after a wave of social media confusion and outage over the mishap, and has been issuing apology emails to individual women.
