Gay Marriage Gets the Royal Nod from Queen Elizabeth II
Her Majesty the Queen has spoken. And she is serving up some serious royal realness, y’all.
On Wednesday, Queen Elizabeth II legalized gay marriage in England and Wales with the lick a flick of a fancy quill pen. At least that’s how I imagine her signing a bill into law. But I also imagine her having tea with her corgis like dolls at a knee-high Fisher-Price table, so there’s a chance I’m a little off base.
Britain’s gay marriage bill received favorable support from the public and from the leaders of three major political parties, including uber-conservative leader Prime Minister David Cameron, who initially proposed the legislation. How progressive!
Here here! The time has come and love is love. Besides, can you imagine the fascinators?!
