The “Game of Thrones” Season 7 finale title could suggest that we’re finally going to meet Rhaegar Targaryen

The Season 7 finale of Game of Thrones is titled, “The Dragon and the Wolf.” It could totally be a reference to Dany (the Dragon) and Jon (the Wolf), as they’ve teamed up recently — both on the battlefield and in the bedroom…sort of. But take a closer look, and maybe the title isn’t about them. At least, maybe not about the pair of them specifically.

As Vanity Fair points out, there are a couple other interpretations of said Dragon and Wolf. And if those end up being true, they’d be huge. That’s because it means that we’ll likely get more insight into Jon’s parentage. And who knows? Maybe the King in the North himself will get some knowledge dropped on him too. LOOKING AT YOU, BRAN. GET YOUR THREE-EYED RAVEN ONNNNN.

One theory is that Jon could be BOTH the Dragon and the Wolf.

Though he still believes himself to be Ned Stark’s bastard, he’s actually the son of Rhaegar Targaryen (?) and Lyanna Stark (?).

Another theory is that the Dragon and Wolf are Rhaegar and Lyanna.

We already met Lyanna via flashback through one of Bran’s visions. But, we’re still waiting on Rhaegar, who may or may not have married Lyanna in a secret ceremony. And if he does come back, we’re guessing we’ll get some insight into those nuptials.

If this theory turns out to be true, then perhaps we’ll finally meet the famed Rhaegar onscreen. And if we do, many suspect he’ll look a little like this:

Wilf Scolding (pictured) was rumored to have been cast in the part when the actress who plays Lyanna, Aisling Franciosi, followed him on Twitter while the show was in production last year. Pretty suspicious, if you ask us…

Also, just imagine Wilf with some long, silver-blonde locks and he could totally look like a Targaryen, in our humble opinion.

We’ll (probably) find out the Dragon and Wolf mystery when Game of Thrones returns on Sunday with its Season 7 finale (???). Until then, keep those theories coming.
