This ‘Game of Thrones’ proposal is incredibly romantic

Game of Thrones is a show that brings many people together, especially at Comic-Con. At last month’s convention in San Diego, Christopher Setts popped the question in the sweetest and coolest way possible. His proposal to his girlfriend Hayley Smith was epic.

Oh and did we mention, the couple was in full cosplay when it happened?

The couple is planning a Game of Throne -themed wedding

Let’s just say the proposal was as grand and shocking as any Game of Thrones episode. PopSugar points out that the two lovebirds do couples cosplay regularly. Most of the time Hayley dresses up as Daenerys Targaryen but her beau, Christopher, wanted to be Rhaegar Targaryen this time around. She showed up as Lyanna Stark to Comic-Con.

As if the uber romantic proposal wasn’t enough, Hayley told The Nerdist that the couple met two years ago on the same steps where Christopher got down on one knee. They met during Comic -Con’s annual Game of Thrones photo shoot. Swoon!

It took Christopher six months to plan the grand proposal and he joked the San Diego heat was nothing compared to how nervous he was when the time came to get down on one knee. Everyone gathered around the steps, all decked out in costume.

Hayley said yes to her beau and the couple is now looking forward to planning a Game of Thrones – themed wedding, according to PopSugar. They plan to keep the theme enchanting.

“Of course no red wedding theme!” Hayley quipped. Instead, the couple plans to incorporate symbols from the different houses and other medieval influences from the Game of Thrones world.

Because the couple loves the HBO hit series,  they’ve already predicted who will win the Iron Throne.

“After reading the books and watching the latest season on HBO, I am confident that Daenerys Targaryen will end up taking the Iron Throne, making an alliance with Jon Snow in the process,” Hayley told PopSugar.

Now where can we find our own Rhaegar Targaryen?
