“Game of Thrones” is making its own wine, and we raise a glass to the Seven Kingdoms

HBO has been enjoying the successes of Game of Thrones for six heartbreaking but awesome seasons, and now they’ve found another way to celebrate their tentpole drama. We know that winter is coming, and with Game of Thrones wine along for the ride! We can’t wait to taste it!

Game of Thrones already has a line of beers, created by Ommegang. Since the only other prominent beverage in Westeros is wine, it makes sense that they’d decide to make wine next. HBO has teamed up with California’s Vintage Wine Estates to make three different wines that will be available in 2017.

The three Game of Thrones wines come in some of our favorite types, and they all sound delicious.

Tyrion would be so proud of us, drinking all this wine! The Game of Thrones wines will be a Red Blend, a Chardonnay, and a Cabernet Sauvignon.

Jeff Peters, Director of Licensing and Retail for HBO said, “Given the prominent role of wine on Game of Thrones and our previous success in the beverage category, an officially licensed wine for the show feels like a natural extension for our fans. Game of Thrones wines most definitely will add to the fan experience as the battle for the Iron Throne heats up heading into the final seasons.

Game of Thrones Red Blend and Game of Thrones Chardonnay will be available for $19.99 per bottle. And the Game of Thrones Cabernet Sauvignon is a little fancier at $39.99 per bottle.

Luckily, the wines will be available before Season 7, so we will have something to drink while we watch.

And with everything that built up at the end of Season 6, we’re sure we’re going to need it to make it through Season 7.

Game of Thrones has been showing us the whole time what the most important pastime in Westeros is.

So we raise our Game of Thrones wine to the Iron Throne and the Mother of Dragons!
