These “Game of Thrones” actors support this new, chilling theory about Sansa Stark

Spoiler alert! Spoiler alert! You should not be reading this post unless you’re completely caught up on Game of Thrones!

After we watched “Battle of the Bastards” on Sunday night, we were convinced Sansa Stark was pregnant. We even wrote about our fears, arguing that Ramsay hinted at her pregnancy when he said, “You can’t kill me. I’m a part of you now.”

This isn’t the only time Game of Thrones has possibly hinted at this very grim twist of fate. In a previous episode, “Oathbreaker,” Sansa tells Littlefinger she can “still feel what he did to my body standing here right now.”

But luckily, we were wrong. Game of Thrones actors Liam Cunningham (who plays Ser “Not Daario, DAVOS” Davos) and Iwan Rheon (aka, Ramsay “Jerkface” Bolton) shut that theory DOWN.

Cunningham had this to say about the chances of Sansa being pregnant:

“Unless he’s got one of those ‘Game of Thrones’ pregnancy sticks, he’s not gonna know. I think, I would imagine, it’s open to whatever you want it to be, but I think he’s saying he’s put himself into her head. That’s what I took from it. She’s never gonna get rid of him because of what he’s done to her. He knows what he’s done to her. It was off camera, what he was doing to her, but we all know what it was. But I think he’s placed himself in her soul for all the wrong reasons.”

So, instead of worried whether Sansa is pregnant, should we be worried that she’s gone…dark? We saw Sansa act callous AF in “Battle of the Bastards.” Not only did she secretly enlist The Knights of the Vale (and Littlefinger) for help without Jon Snow knowing, but she finished off Ramsay herself — by feeding him to his own dogs. And she SMILED while he was being eaten alive. That is COLD. New Sansa theory? She may not be turning into Ramsay (though she retains “parts” of him), but she’s definitely not the same girl from past seasons.

Rheon basically supports this theory, and has the same thoughts as Cunningham, telling Refinery29:

“Well I think what he means is that, what he’s done to her, she won’t be able to shake off and he has kind of broken her. In the same way that Theon will never be able to shake Reek off because of the psychological torture and physical torture. By doing all these horrible things to her, he has left his mark on her and therefore he is part of her.”

But Rheon is also not COMPLETELY ruling it out, either. He adds,

“Well unless Ramsay has got an incredible talent of being able to spot pregnant women, then I don’t know. I don’t know if he has examined her or anything. I have absolutely no idea, so you’ll have to just wait until next season to find out. Like me.”

But chances are she’s not with demon Bolton child. She’s just turned HARD. So be prepared for a very, very different Sansa Stark — we’ve already gotten an idea of her evolving character this season, but chances are, she’ll become darker. The Sansa we all knew and probably felt mixed feelings about (admit it, you probably hated her in Season 1) is GONE.
