If this Reddit theory is true, Arya and Sansa are *already* working together to take down Littlefinger

Here’s a Reddit theory we’re hoping is 100% true. This season on Game of Thrones, we’ve witnessed the reunions of so many of our favorite characters. But there have also been some upsetting disagreements between others. Luckily, there’s a fan theory that hopefully explains why two of our faves — Arya and Sansa — haven’t been getting along.

The moment Arya and Sansa Stark (Maisie Williams and Sophie Turner) reunited this season was one of the most heartwarming. Finally, these sisters were together again after going through horrible ordeals over the last several years. But ever since that moment, the pair haven’t been on the best of terms.

It started with Arya questioning the way Sansa handled their allies. Then Arya confronted Sansa after Littlefinger (Aidan Gillen) led her to the letter Cersei forced Sansa to write. After that, Sansa snuck around Arya’s belongings and found the creepy bag of faces. All evidence suggests that the sisters don’t trust each other — but maybe, that’s just what they want others to believe.

Because according to Reddit user ScienceMuddafucka’s theory, the sisters might actually be working together.

The theory focuses on Arya, but there’s plenty about Sansa too. Piece it all together and maybe Arya and Sansa are actually aware of what Littlefinger is doing and have already started turning the tables on him. (If they didn’t uncover his schemes themselves, their Three-Eyed Raven brother Bran could have clued them in, as the theory points out…)

Here are some of the reasons as evidence…

One is that “Arya is trained in stealth.”

“Arya was trained by assassins,” ScienceMuddafucka writes. “She is far too stealthy to let LF know that he is being followed, unless she did this deliberately.”

This is a totally valid point. How would Arya not know she was being led to find that letter? It seemed pretty obvious, and she’s basically a ninja after all.

Then, the theory argues that those intense fights were staged.

“When Arya confronts Sansa about the Northern lords talking badly about Jon in S7E5, the door is wide open. Similarly, when Arya confronts Sansa about the letter from S1, Arya projects her voice just as she is reading the letter. It’s almost as if they want someone to hear their fights.”

Perhaps to show Littlefinger that his plan is “working”?

The theory also addresses the Game of Faces.

ScienceMuddafucka argues that no, Arya does not want to add Sansa’s face to her collection — as it looked like she might have been threatening in “Beyond the Wall.” Rather, she was just playing the Game of Faces. And when it became clear that Sansa didn’t understand, Arya gave her the dagger to prove she’s not a threat — instead, she’s there to protect Sansa from Littlefinger.

*Phew, we certainly hope so!*

What’s more, ScienceMuddafucka discusses how the sisters have said that they will protect one another. And again, they have Bran on their side, who could’ve easily told them what Littlefinger is up to.

We really hate seeing these sisters fight, so fingers crossed this theory is true.
