If this “Game of Thrones” theory is correct, Arya will indeed kill Cersei — with a twist

Cersei Lannister is the Queen everyone loves to hate on Game of Thrones. And ever since Ned Stark was beheaded, Arya Stark has had it out for Cersei. So much so that Cersei is at the top of Arya’s kill list, and a theory suggests that Arya could actually cross Cersei off.

Ever since she was a child, Cersei (Lena Headey) has been under the assumption that Tyrion (Peter Dinklage) would fulfill the prophecy she heard from Maggy, a witch, that her younger brother would kill her. And considering that the other part of the prophecy about all of her children dying has come true, she’s rightfully worried.

And looks like she should also be worried about Arya (Maisie Williams), who has been set on Cersei’s demise since Season 1.

That’s because a theory brings up a way for Cersei to meet her maker in the form of Arya and Cersei’s other brother, Jaime — who, yes, is Cersei’s twin, but is still technically younger by mere moments.

Uh oh. Cersei better watch out. Maybe her evil ways are catching up to her.

Cersei has always assumed that Tyrion would be the younger brother to kill her.

After all, she and Jaime (Nikolaj Coster-Waldau) have that “special” relationship. So she trusts Jaime not to, you know, murder her. But, it doesn’t necessarily have to be him. We’ve seen that Arya can kill people, and claim their faces as her own. Here’s what Reddit user mermaid_wannabe theorizes:

"So I believe Arya will kill Jaime (pretty easily because we've seen he can't fight shit without two hands) and uses his face to kill Cersei. My main reason for thinking this is because it fulfills Arya kill list BUT also fulfills the prophecy of the little brother strangling Cersei."

It’s not so hard to believe that this could happen. It would fulfill the prophecy while also giving Arya the revenge we’d love to see. We’ll see if we get some answers on this when the Game of Thrones Season 7 finale airs on HBO on Sunday.
