The trailer for the season finale of “Game of Thrones” is here, and it’s the most stressful thing you’ll watch today

Are you still recovering from 70-ish of the most stressful minutes of your life? Same. The reason you’re so stressed is because you watched the most recent episode of Game of Thrones, “Beyond The Wall.”  And just wait until you’ve seen the trailer for the season finale — it is stress level to the MAX. If you’re not caught up quite yet, get off social media and run back to Eastwatch as fast as you can, Gendry style.

After seven seasons of watching Game of Thrones develop at the same pace as an army of the dead heading South — brilliantly, of course, but slow nonetheless — it’s an overwhelming experience watching the plot move as rapidly as it has this season.

While it only feels like we’re still easing into this season, we’re already at the season finale, where Jon Snow — who is *officially* #TeamDany now — comes face to face with Cersei Lannister.

Jon and his not-so-merry men went beyond The Wall on their mission to capture a wight and prove to Cersei that the army of the dead is real and moving South — and in basic terms, they *did* succeed.

But not without losing Thoros and (*sobs*) Dany’s dragon, Viserion, in the process. That’s right, unlike literally everyone else, Jon and the gang didn’t realize how stupid their mission was until a smidgeon too late, and quickly sent Gendry marathoning back to Eastwatch so Dany could swoop in and rescue them. While Jon nearly died, and Dany lost one of her children, they finally solidified their alliance (for now), and essentially pronounced their love for one another without actually saying anything.

But what does this mean for Jon’s encounter with Cersei? The Hound is already on his way to King’s Landing (get HYPE) with the captured wight but it looks like it’s going to take more than just an envoy and a sack of undead proof to convince her that the threat is real. Honestly, we’re not even sure Jon showing up will do the trick, as the queen has proven that she’s not one to reason with anyone standing in her way.

BUT it seems like Jon’s meeting with Cersei is essentially hitting two ravens with one stone.

In what looks like WWE Summer Smackdown meets Gladiator arena, Cersei and Jamie meet up with Jon and his posse of Davos, Tyrion (ahh total Lannister sibling reunion!), Jorah, Poderick, Theon, and Brienne. During “Beyond The Wall,” Sansa was invited to a meeting with Cersei but she send Brienne (and Pod) in her place. Seeing how the two are walking up with Jon, it seems he’s intercepted the mission and is going to say “Thanks, but no thanks” on behalf of the North while also announcing that the army of the dead will kill them all if they don’t join together and fight.

Seeing as things are looking mighty tense in Winterfell, we’re hoping this means Jon’s checked in on his ticking time bomb of a sibling situation and firmly planted them all on the same page.

We think it’s pretty clear: Next week we need to strap in because it’s going to be a roller coaster.
