There are only 79 minutes left of “Game of Thrones” this season, and I have 21 unanswered questions

The time has come to say goodbye to all our company: Jon Snow, Daenerys Targaryen, Arya Stark, Sansa Stark, Bran Three-Eyed Raven Stark, Cersei Lannister, Jaime Lannister, Tyrion Lannister, Not-Rowing Gendry, Ser Davos the Great, Brienne, and all our other friends. Game of Thrones Season 7 is drawing to a close, and we’ve only got 79 minutes left before it’s done. Before it wraps up, though, I’ve got some pressing questions.

Unfortunately, it looks like I have TOO many questions, and not all of them are going to be answered in the final 79 minutes. Here goes anyway:

1. Is Jon Snow EVER going to learn his true parentage?

We learned the answer to this Burning Question at the end of last season, when we saw Bran’s vision in the Tower of Joy. Lyanna Stark, confirmed to be Jon’s mother. Rhaegar Targaryen, like, 90% confirmed to be Jon’s dad (we just have to see it, and/or be told it by someone, hopefully Gilly). Know who doesn’t know any of this? Jon. Bran knows, he just hasn’t gotten around to informing his half-sibling cousin.

2. Who is the Prince That Was Promised?

At the rate Game of Thrones is wrapping up this mystery, I think it’s me.

3. Is Cersei actually pregnant?

Come on.

4. Is anyone ever going to get a happy ending, and if the answer is yes, can it be Tormund and Brienne??

Calling dibs, if anyone is allowed to outlive this TV show.

5. WHO is going to kill LIttlefinger?

It’s no longer a question of when is Littlefinger going to die, but WHO’s going to be the one to do the deed. It’s probably going to be Arya, or in a more surprising twist, Sansa. OMG, maybe they can do it together??

6. Shouldn’t someone go…check on Yara?

Last we saw her, she was being taken away by Cersei’s men, after Euron presented her to the queen as a “gift.” She was chained up and looked pretty PO’ed — and you would be too, if your brother literally *jumped ship* to avoid saving you.

7. Speaking of Theon…

What the hell, bro? Could you have NOT? Also, is he still hanging out at Dragonstone, or did he join everyone else on Dany’s boat sailing for King’s Landing?

8. Does anybody know what time it is?

PRETTY SURE IT’S CLEGANEBOWL TIME!!!

9. Are we ever going to meet Howland Reed?

Okay, Howland Reed. Let’s talk about him. First up, who is he? We’ve never actually seen him present-day on Game of Thrones…but we have seen him in the past. He was with a young Ned Stark at the Tower of Joy, meaning that it’s safe to assume he knows about Jon’s true parentage. Where is he now?  ¯_(ツ)_/¯ When Meera left Bran, she said she was going home to her father, so we might see him. And he might be like, “Wow, Meera, you were with Bran? Oh boy, do I have a story to tell you about that Jon Snow…”

10. What’s going to happen to all that dragonglass?

Thanks to the accelerated pace of Season 7, we (sadly) never got a Game of Thrones bottle-episode dedicated to Dany/Jon’s men mining the dragonglass at Dragonstone. We know that they’re doing something with it, but what, and is Jon going to be smart enough to use it, and how can Gendry help?

11. When will Gendry see Arya again?

During the early seasons of Game of Thrones, Gendry and Arya were pretty important to each other — you know, they’re “family.” Thanks to the marvelous reappearance of Gendry, it only makes sense that the two will cross paths again. However, right now it sure looks like Gendry is on his way to King’s Landing and Arya is sneaking around Winterfell.

12. Does Viserion breathe fire…or ice?

I’ve been lying awake in my bed, thinking about this, every night since Sunday.

13. Will we ever see Daario again?

Dany casually dropped his name during “Beyond the Wall,” and that’s very much a sign that a TV show wants to remind you about an off-screen character that’s soon going to make a sudden appearance.

14. Will Jaime and Tyrion ever make amends?

They managed to have a conversation without it escalating to DEATH. But will these two ever come to terms with the other? If Jon and Dany can make it work, so can these two brothers. Speaking of brothers, which one of them is going to fulfill the prophecy of the “little brother” killing Cersei?

15. Has Jorah really been cured from his greyscale?

There’s something in the back of my mind that keeps whispering, “no, he’s still got it,” and that makes me very nervous.

16. WILL SAM EVER LISTEN TO GILLY?

COME ON.

17. Where did Euron get his pirate-biker chic look?

What is the Seven Kingdom’s equivalent of H&M?

18. Will I cry a lot during the season finale?

Asking for, uh, a friend.

19. When are Dany and Jon gonna:

*This is Liz Lemom trying to sign “sex.”

20. Follow-up question, will it be before or AFTER they find out they’re related?

Listen, FDR and Eleanor Roosevelt were fifth cousins once removed.

21. Is Bran really a bird?

Every time I think about Bran being a bird, I think about that quote from The Notebook where Allie is like, “If I’m a bird, you’re a bird!” Also, I have never seen The Notebook.

There are probably more questions out there that need to be answered, but I continue to spend too much time thinking about Dany and Jon to really focus on anything else. See you all Sunday night at 9 p.m. EST/6 p.m PST.
