The funniest Game of Thrones memes from last night, for your viewing pleasure

Warning: MAJOR Game of Thrones Season 8 spoilers ahead!

The Game of Thrones episode we’ve all been waiting for finally aired last night, May 12th. And just like past penultimate episodes have taught us (aka “The Red Wedding”), we should always expect the unexpected from this show. Not only did Season 8, Episode 5, titled “The Bells,” feature Daenerys Targaryen following in the Mad King’s footsteps, but we also witnessed a ton of major character deaths, including Lord Varys, Euron Greyjoy, The Hound, and the long-awaited demise of Cersei and Jaime Lannister who—to everyone’s surprise—died in each other’s arms.

It was one hell of an emotional rollercoaster for fans, many of whom were extremely disappointed by several key episode details. And what most of us thought would happen in the series finale is going to change now that Dany is the Mad Queen and Kings Landing is charred beyond recognition.

As always, fans had a lot of thoughts—and we’ve compiled a list of all the best memes about them.
