The new big bad on “Game of Thrones” is getting a ~sexy~ makeover for Season 7
There are sure to be a few surprises when Game of Thrones Season 7 finally makes it to our screens. And the word in Westeros is that one of the villains from Season 6 is getting a major upgrade. Theon Greyjoy’s uncle Euron Greyjoy is getting a new look — and we bet he just might become the most hated character on Game of Thrones.
In Season 6, we managed to get rid of the uber-evil Ramsay Bolton.
But while we all focused on him, Euron (played by Pilou Asbaek) started making his own grabs for power — thwarting Theon and his niece Yara’s plans. And in Season 7, he’s back and more evil than ever. In a recent chat with Entertainment Weekly, Asbaek discussed how Euron is different this season:
“He’s more charming. He takes himself seriously, but not too seriously.
Plus, last year his hair was super scraggly, but this year, he’s getting a closer-cut style. AND he’s getting some slick new robes. (We’re loving the ~sexy~ re-brand.)
As for his villainy, will we grow to hate Euron as much as we did Ramsay?
Asbaek discussed the differences between the two bad guys:
“Ramsay was a great character and to me was 100 percent evil. I think Euron is not. I’m more like a hooligan. The guy you met at the Kingsmoot is not the guy you will meet on his ship — he’s different with different people to get what he wants.
As we approach the final season of Game of Thrones, who knows what we can expect — except tons of drama and backstabbing. Until then, there’s Season 7, which premieres on HBO on July 16th.
