Jaime Lannister is going to have a FULL BEARD for the final season of “Game of Thrones”

Red alert, Game of Thrones fans. One of the stars of HBO’s groundbreaking fantasy series just dropped a major piece of intel about his facial hair for the final season, and as we all learned from the Jon Snow Hair Watch, no hair detail is insignificant — especially when you consider the lengths HBO goes to keep Game of Thrones spoilers under wraps.

When it comes to information about Game of Thrones, literally anything could be a huge spoiler or have deeper meaning, so this bit of news coming straight from the mouth of Nikolaj Coster-Waldau about the final season has us shook. Speaking with Short List, Coster-Waldau was asked about his “beard situ” at the moment and he revealed that when fans see Jaime Lannister next, he’ll be rocking a full beard.

A FULL BEARD, PEOPLE.

"I’m shooting the last season of Thrones. Generally speaking, I’m not crazy-hairy, but I have a full beard," he said. "Call me Hairy Styles."

Ooh, that joke just paid our bills, cleared our acne, and walked our dog.

But we’re not laughing so hard that we’re distracted by what this news means for Jaime in the final season of Game of Thrones — because, it definitely means something.

The last time Jaime got a new look for the show, it was after he returned home to Cersei from his travels with Brienne of Tarth and he got a haircut. “There was a big change in the character, so a haircut is a way to signal that,” Coster-Waldau said.

So if he’s always sporting the clean-shaven look when he’s around his twin Cersei, and he’s more hirsute when he’s on his own and generally becoming a nicer, better person, does the arrival of a full beard mean we’re going to get a final season full of Good Guy Jaime? This sounds almost too good to be true.

Last we saw of the former Kingslayer, he was leaving his sister to join up with the North to fight the army of the dead about to descend past the Wall. Fingers crossed he joins up with Bri again in the process!
