The “Game of Thrones” showrunners just confirmed that Dany and Jon are falling for each other
While many Game of Thrones fans are wondering just exactly who will end up on the Iron Throne by the end of the show, others have been wondering about a certain pairing that looks promising after the most recent episode of the show. And in a behind-the-scenes video, the Game of Thrones showrunners addressed the feelings developing between Jon and Dany.
After *finally* meeting and going on a very romantic cave date, Dany (Emilia Clarke) and Jon (Kit Harington) parted ways when Jon set out on a mission to go past the wall to find and capture a wight, leaving fans wanting more scenes of the pair together. Thankfully, the Season 7 episode “Beyond the Wall” felt just like middle school all over again — but with dragons! (At least, as far as their feelings are concerned…)
Tyrion tells Dany that Jon’s crushing on her while Jon gets himself into a difficult spot with the wights, and Gendry goes to Eastwatch to send a raven asking for some backup. So Dany flies in with her dragons to save the day. She’s our hero! Swoon. And as Dany is beginning to think Jon is lost, he shows up, leaving her wondering just how strongly she feels about him. Are they #meanttobe?
In a behind-the-scenes video from the episode, showrunner David Benioff talks about the feels between the two:
"I don't think either one of them really knew exactly how powerful their feelings were towards each other until these moments."
They love each other! It’s ~so~ obvious, and this video has so much more info about that.

What’s the future of Dany and Jon? Guess we’ll have to watch the finale to find out. Game of Thrones airs Sundays on HBO.
