“Game of Thrones” cut a major scene from the last episode, and now we want to see it

The Game of Thrones episodes this season are long, but we still haven’t been able to see everything we’d hoped for this go-round. Specifically, one reunion that we would’ve loved to see didn’t make Game of Thrones‘ last episode, “Eastwatch.” So somebody get ready to write this fanfic, ASAP.

Game of Thrones Season 7 has been all about reunions.

Like Arya and Sansa’s touching reunion! We’ve gotten so used to them that we were pretty upset when we didn’t get a long scene with buddies Tyrion (Peter Dinklage) and Bronn (Jerome Flynn) when they met back up in “Eastwatch.”

Bronn had just saved Jaime (Nikolaj Coster-Waldau) from certain drowning after the insane loot train attack that Tyrion oversaw. The brothers may have been on different sides of the war for the throne, but Tyrion snuck into King’s Landing to talk to Jaime about a common enemy — the White Walkers.

Bronn brought the brothers together, but there wasn’t much of a reunion between he and Tyrion.

Is it too much to hope that the old friends would hug it out? The Hollywood Reporter spoke with Flynn about the reunion, and the scene we all wished we saw:

"Originally, I heard there was going to be [a scene between Tyrion and Bronn]. They decided not to go for it. There's something, I hope, that's still to come, where Bronn and Tyrion might have a little bit of time for an exchange together, and shoot the breeze, as it were. Hopefully there will be some old Bronn and Tyrion dynamics coming up again. But it was a lovely scene. That was a lovely part of the whole season, all of the many reunions and all of the different storylines coming together."

Bronn isn’t our favorite right now after his attack on Drogon, but it would be nice to see the two snarky characters get a scene together again. Fingers crossed it’s soon.

Game of Thrones airs Sundays on HBO.
