“Game of Thrones” is releasing a mobile game, since they know we suddenly have a ton of free time
If you’re a Game of Thrones fan like us, you’re probably in mourning right now. Just as we were really getting into the shortened seventh season, we had to say goodbye — with so many questions left unanswered.
With the final GoT season likely not airing until 2019, we’re seriously reeling from withdrawal. Luckily for all of us, Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment and HBO Global Licensing have all teamed up to keep us occupied as we wait for Season 8.
Fans can see if they have what it takes to sit on the Iron Throne with the new mobile game Game of Thrones: Conquest.
The game, which is set to be released later this year, will give fans the chance to see if they have what it takes to play the game of thrones. Players will lead their houses all over Westeros, coming face-to-face with our favorite characters, including Jon Snow, Daenerys Targaryen, and maybe even a Lannister or two. As players navigate the rocky political climate that is Westeros, they’ll make decisions that will either bring them glory and power or imminent doom.
Based on the description, the game is definitely going to keep the GoT spirit alive while we wait for Season 8.
"Whether it’s through sheer might or deception, Game of Thrones: Conquest lets players rule their house as they choose. Powerful armies will be raised to march against rivals, while players command their own small councils to sabotage their enemies from within. Westeros won’t be simple to conquer. Players must defend their houses from each other in player-versus-player battles or form a strategic allegiance as they fight for control of the Seven Kingdoms.
Sure, we all *think* we have what it takes to play the game of thrones, but now we’ll have the chance to see for ourselves.
You can choose to be honest like Jon Snow, clever and conniving like Littlefinger, or cutthroat and ruthless like Cersei. So yeah, we can already tell we’re going to be addicted.
While the game is set to be released later this year, fans who pre-register will receive a “Prepare for War” package when they download the game. The package includes various necessities to aid in the quest for the Iron Throne, including exclusive Night’s Watch training gear, gold, and other resources.
While we hate to wait until 2019 for the final season, at least Game of Thrones: Conquest will keep us occupied!
