Annnd we just got our first look at Gal Gadot in the ‘Wonder Woman’ movie

Is it a bird? Is it a plane? Is it Superman? No, it’s just the first look at Wonder Woman being all fierce in her own movie, and soon she’s going to have us thinking, “Superman, who?”

Gal Gadot is picking up the Lasso of Truth and will appear as Diana Prince by day, Wonder Woman by night in next year’s Batman v. Superman: Dawn of Justice. That could have been it. That could have been the beginning and end of Wonder Woman’s big day out. However, thanks to the awesome recent push to bring more female superheroes to life, she’s then getting her own movie. Like, just Wonder Woman. No Superman or Batman required. She’s going to headline the whole thing and save the day all by herself, because she can do it.

Filming started this past week on the solo-outting for Wonder Woman, and it sadly won’t hit theaters until 2017. But, Gadot has now shared the first image of the movie with the world, and it is something epic.

Sure, we’ve seen images of both Diana Prince and Wonder Woman in Batman v. Superman, but they’ve been nothing more than quick shots. It’s time to see what she can do on her own, and whatever it is, it’s taken her to London. In the released image, a foggy Big Ben can be seen way off in the distance.

Wonder Woman is also clearly trying to blend in instead of stand out, but there’s no denying that tiara on her head. No use trying to hide; we know you’re coming, WW, and we’ll be waiting here for you with open arms.
