Gal Gadot’s daughter wants to *literally* follow in her mother’s footsteps by playing Wonder Woman one day

We all want to be Wonder Woman (and Gal Gadot), so we super relate to her daughter wanting to take over the role someday. It’s not surprising, of course, that Gal Gadot’s daughter wants to be her — so many of us want to be our own mothers when we grow up, and they’re only superheroes in the metaphorical sense. (As far as we know…)

In an interview with ET Canada, Gal Gadot was asked about her six-year-old daughter Alma’s opinion on the film. Alma hasn’t seen it, but she still has feelings about it. And we get it, girl.

“She didn’t watch the movie yet, because I’m the mother and I just try and protect her and give her normal things, but she will definitely," Gal said. "She’s very proud. She’s very, very proud…She’s already asked me if she can take over when I’m older.

Um, yes please!

Wonder Woman totally stole the year, with a $100 million opening weekend in June, making it the top film for the summer at the domestic box office, which is no easy feat! Wonder Woman is also the highest-grossing superhero origin movie yet. Because, obvs, it’s amazing. And because it’s amazing, both Gal Gadot and director Patty Jenkins will be returning for round two.

The only thing that could make Wonder Woman more amazing?

Making the story span GENERATIONS and passing Diana’s lasso onto Gal Gadot’s daughter. Homegirl is only six years old so we have a while to wait, but we’re just saying. We’ll totally sign a binding contract stating that if they make more Wonder Woman movies a decade or so from now staring little Alma, we’ll show up opening night. And hey, maybe Gadot’s second daughter, Maya, will want in on the fun at some point, too.
