Gal Gadot addressed the backlash that Wonder Woman wasn’t curvy enough

It’s safe to say that lots of people loved Wonder Woman. We can only assume that Wonder Woman haters James Cameron have momentarily lost their minds. However, no matter how you feel about the film, Gal Gadot is unbothered by the naysayers.

Gadot talked to Rolling Stone and addressed some of the backlashes she experienced in the lead role.

On the haters who didn’t like that she was Israeli: “Oh, my god, seriously, you guys?”

On the gripes that she wasn’t ~curvy~ enough: “Listen, if you want to be for real, then the Amazons, they had only one boob. Exactly one boob. So what are you talking about here? Me having small boobs and small ass? That will make all the difference.”

She’s not wrong. According to Smithsonian mag, in Greek mythology, the Amazons cut off their right breasts in order to have better bow control. So if people are mad that Gadot doesn’t look like a DC artist’s rendering, then they should take it up with the ancient Greeks.

Comic book heroines all have such cartoonish proportions (literally, cartoonish), it’s mind boggling that anyone would cause a stir when a human actress doesn’t have a minuscule waist and overflowing breasts.

Elsewhere in the interview, Gadot gave her two-cents on feminism and we are screaming SLAY!

"People always ask me, 'Are you a feminist?' And I find the question surprising, because I think, 'Yes, of course. Every woman, every man, everyone should be a feminist. Because whoever is not a feminist is a sexist.'"

Pop off, girl. Pop off.
