Gabrielle Union shared the most perfect “10 Things I Hate About You” throwback pic

While Gabrielle Union has been in a ton of movies, there are few that have been as iconic as this one. Union shared a 10 Things I Hate About You throwback photo on Instagram, and it’s making us want to rewatch the movie ASAP.

Union actually revealed that the movie was her very first. In the film, which was a fabulous take on Shakespeare’s play “The Taming of the Shrew,” the actress had a small role as Chastity, a friend of Bianca, who was played by Larisa Oleynik.

To further jot your memory, she was the character who got to say the famous line of “I know you can be overwhelmed, and you can be underwhelmed, but can you ever just be whelmed?”

The photo she shared just proved that the cast was quite close.

As Union noted, the film was shot in Tacoma and Seattle. And of course, she also gave credit to actor Heath Ledger, who passed away in 2008. It was Ledger’s breakout film, so it obviously held a special place in his heart as well.

Who knew that 10 Things I Hate About You would help lead him to the leading man roles he ended up grabbing?

The film also helped Union’s career, as she’s been working steadily ever since. She was in 2016’s The Birth of a Nation and has the lead role in the television series Being Mary Jane.

Of course, we also loved Union in Bring It On. Fingers crossed that her next throwback photo features the Toros and the Clovers!
