FYI: Channing Tatum once wore ‘ninja shoes’ on the red carpet

Channing Tatum is not only drop-dead sexy and an amazing husband, he’s a bit of a goofball, as his work on the 21 Jump Street reboot (and, frankly, most of his recent movies) proved.

Well, now we have evidence just how seriously he takes his lack of seriousness, thanks to wife Jenna Dewan Tatum. It seems he even has a sense of humor about his fashion:

As Jenna told People:

“Chan likes that 1940s, what he’s doing with the hats and the vests — it’s actually great, it’s a cool little style. But he also likes to go against the grain,” she says. “One time, he wore these ninja shoes he got in Japan , and he wore them on a red carpet just because he said, ‘F–k it, I want to wear these on a red carpet, I’m wearing them.’ His publicist looked at me like she was going to kill me. I’m like, ‘I can’t control him.’”

We know, we know, you want to see the ninja shoes. Unfortunately, all evidence of this mysterious shoe-ppearace has vanished!

“We have tried to find those pictures!” Jenna said. “We can’t. They [are the type of shoes] where one toe goes this way and the rest go that way? Like frog shoes?”

We assume she meant something like these shoes by ZemGear, shown at AllWeatherGoods:

Well, if any Channing Tatum fans have pictures of him in these unusual kicks, please make them public. We want to see them! Until then, we’ll just take Jenna’s word for it. And now, if you don’t mind, we’re going to go rewatch Magic Mike.
