Here’s what this month’s full moon means if you’re a Scorpio
Do you feel it? It’s hanging heavy in the air. Late tonight and early tomorrow, the moon will be at her fullest. Full moons are like the energetic peak of the month, when we have a little extra energy to work with. In fact, the full moon is the perfect time for manifestation or banishing; meaning we have the opportunity to attract what we want or let go of anything we don’t want. And since this month’s full moon is in the luxurious sign of Taurus, opposite the sun in mysterious Scorpio, we can get really real about our needs, wants, and desires. For all those Scorpios out there, the full moon is an especially energetically potent position, when the universe is here to help you let go of what’s no longer serving you.
In her monthly horoscopes for Broadly, astrologer Annabel Gat breaks down what Scorpios can expect this full moon. She says,
" This full moon is in Taurus — a lush, green spring-time sign that symbolizes creativity and luxury, unlike you, slinking Scorpio, the sign of death, decay, and rebirth...We are in Scorpio season, a time to sit in our emotions and process the hard shit — but with each Scorpio season comes a full moon in Taurus, revealing to us the way we can find balance, peace, and tranquility as we work out our tough, emotional issues and process the profound changes that are taking place."
Taurus is ruled by Venus, the planet of love, sex, and beauty. And Venus just happens to rule over Friday as well.
This alongside Scorpio, which is ruled by Mars — the planet of war, action, and desire — means that feelings of desire, ownership, need, and want are on high. This is a time for us to reassess our partnerships as well, and to recognize what we’re looking for — especially you, dear Scorpio.
The grounded energy of Taurus, an earth sign, and Scorpio, a water sign, can feel very conflicting, but Annabel reminds us to invite this in. She explains,
“We’ll feel numbed by Neptune and shocked by Uranus, and an opportunity to learn what the fuck is really going on — especially in our partnerships — will arrive with the full moon (which is sure to be an emotionally sensitive occasion), allowing us to see clearly what we need to do in order to move forward. Full moons are a time of culmination, climax, and letting go. Say goodbye to whatever is holding you back. That’s the only way you’ll find yourself with an upgrade. And isn’t that what you want, my little Scorpion?”[/subheader]
So Scorpio, this full moon, you have an opportunity to see what’s holding you back. Focus on areas of love, partnership, needs, and desires, and honor where you are in the present (no judgment). You can make a list of what you want and need, placing it somewhere you can see it. You can even make a list of anything you no longer need, of what’s holding you back, and burn it. It’s sure to feel good and you love a little danger, don’t you, Scorpio?
Either way, we hope this moon illuminates whatever it is you need.
