The full-length trailer for Disney’s ‘Zootopia’ is here!

Singing and talking human-like animals are Disney’s speciality, so it should come as no surprise that the newest trailer for Zootopia combines all of those things, along with a little adventure.

Disney Animation Studio’s 55th feature film comes from the directing team Byron Howard (Tangled) and Rich Moore (Wreck-It-Ralph). In the newly-released trailer, just in time to ring in the New Year, we get a much bigger glimpse at this new world, and also the plot of the story. It’s not all singing and talking animals (but there are a lot of them).

Zootopia brings us to the city of, well, Zootopia where animals rule everything (people, if they even exist, are completely out of sight). The hero of our story appears to be a feisty bunny, Judy Hopps (voiced by darling Ginnifer Goodwin) who’s just become Zootopia’s first bunny on the police squad. The other animal officers — think, big, fierce animals, like lions, tigers, and bears — tease her endlessly about this, and she winds up with the most boring detail: parking.

Things won’t be boring for long, though. Judy soon find herself in the middle of an outbreak (where animals become “savage,” and it looks like, animals : savage :: people : zombies), and now it’s up to her to save the day. She’s got sly fox Nick Wilde (voiced by Jason Bateman) who will help, but he’s not like, too eager to help, you know? He wants to do fox things in Zootopia, which in this movie, appear to be swindling others and chilling.

This trailer also features the brand new song for Zootopia, which was written by Sia and Stargate, and performed in the movie by Shakira (who voices/sings as a gazelle, named Gazelle, and she’s the most popular musician in Zootopia, because, yes).

Check out the trailer below, and Zootopia roars into theaters on March 4, 2016.
