The most beautiful friendship between a 2-year-old and a pig
Two-year-old Libby and her three-month old pig Pearl are best friends, and they’re so freaking adorable about their friendship. Libby’s mom, Lindsey, brought Pearl home as a birthday gift for Libby, and I think it’s safe to say that this is probably Libby’s favorite birthday gift in all two of her years on Earth. Libby and Pearl do everything together — they nap, play dress-up, take baths, tell each other secrets, give each other kisses and lounge around doing not much of anything together.
Lindsey talked to The Huffington Post about her motivation behind bringing a pig into the family, instead of, let’s say, a dog.
Pearl is super tiny right now, but she’ll eventually grow into a twenty to thirty pound pig. Lindsey and her family are committed to loving Pearl no matter what size she is, and providing her with everything she needs to thrive. But until then, she continues to be tiny and adorable and just can’t seem to get enough of Libby. Libby can’t seem to get enough of her either. And we can’t get enough of both of them.
