Here’s how to get a free Baskin-Robbins milkshake this month, because we have your back

After the winter holidays, the stretch from January to spring is the longest of the year, with little to look forward to in the way of celebration or sunshine. Fortunately, Baskin-Robbins is taking steps to remind us that St. Patrick’s Day and spring are both on the way.

On March 17th (aka St. Patty’s Day), the ice-cream chain will be bringing all of the customers to the yard with free 3.5 oz samples of its Mint Chip ‘n Oreo Cookies Milkshakes. There is no BOGO deal or secret handshake; all you have to do is hit up your local Baskin-Robbins between 3 p.m. and 7 p.m. to indulge.

According to Bustle, Mint Chocolate Chip and Oreo Cookies ‘n Cream are two of Baskin-Robbins’ most popular milkshake flavors, so they’ve taken the next logical step by combining them into one delectable treat. The free Baskin-Robbins milkshake will of course be tinged green (because it’s #festive), and the free samples will be handed out at the door in select locations.

“One of the flavor combinations we’re most excited about is Mint Chip ‘n OREO® Cookies,” Katy Latimer, Vice President of Culinary Innovation at Dunkin’ Brands, said in an official announcement on the site, “which is why we can’t wait to offer guests a free sample of this festive milkshake on St. Patrick’s Day.”

Basically, this is the best news ever for us milkshake lovers. We don’t even care that the weather is still technically kind of frigid. A free Baskin-Robbins milkshake is acceptable in ANY conditions.
