Attention, muggles: 4 new Harry Potter books are coming this summer, because magic is real
Even though Harry, Ron, and Hermione’s adventures came to an end in print, J.K. Rowling still makes sure that Harry Potter fans feel connected to the wizarding world. From the Fantastic Beasts franchise to the Broadway play to new facts from the author herself, the HP universe is ever-expanding. Now, there’s even more exciting news: This summer, Pottermore will release four new e-books about the magic behind the series.
According to the site’s May 24th post, these short, nonfiction works will be adapted from the Harry Potter: A History of Magic audiobook, which was created to accompany the museum exhibition of the same name. Each of the four new e-books will contain content related to different subjects at Hogwarts. Their titles are Harry Potter: A Journey Through Charms and Defense Against the Dark Arts, Harry Potter: A Journey Through Potions and Herbology, Harry Potter: A Journey Through Divination and Astronomy, and Harry Potter: A Journey Through Care of Magical Creatures.
"In addition to exploring the origins of magic through history and folklore, the eBook shorts will also feature notes, manuscript pages and charming sketches as previously seen in Harry Potter: A History of Magic," the Pottermore announcement states.
These new books sound (almost) as good as actually attending Hogwarts.

Harry Potter: A Journey Through Charms and Defense Against Dark Arts will be available on June 27th. The release dates for the other three e-books have yet to be announced, but, according to Pottermore, fans won’t have to wait too long. If you, like Hermione, can’t wait for new reading material, you can pre-order them on Amazon (either the U.S. or U.K. site), Apple, or Kobo.
Clearly, there’s still a lot to learn about the wizarding world, and we can’t wait to dive in with these new e-books. Excuse us while we take a quick trip to our Gringotts vault.
