A few former “Parks and Rec” stars reunited for Aubrey Plaza’s birthday, and we are experiencing FOMO
While Parks and Recreation ended beautifully last year (and with many, many teary-eyed moments) it’s always great to see the cast back together. Especially since this cast always gave the impression that they were quite close. And it looks like the Parks and Rec crew ARE pretty tight IRL — a few of them got together to celebrate Aubrey Plaza’s 32nd birthday!
Aubrey played April Ludgate, quite possibly the kindred spirit of many Parks and Recreation fans. Sarcastic and filled with angst, we got to see April grow so much on-screen. That makes it even better that Retta and Chris Pratt were around to celebrate such a milestone in person. The crew met up during a taping of Anna Faris Is Unqualified, a brilliant podcast put together by Pratt’s lovely actress wife, and Pratt surprised his past TV wife with some cupcakes.

Also worth mentioning? Retta has a solid set of pipes on her.
The gang also made sure to mention Nick Offerman, who played the legendary Ron Swanson, as both Offerman and Plaza share birthdays. This year, Offerman turned 46. He had his own birthday greeting for Plaza, which he posted on Twitter. false
(Besides a play on Plaza’s Twitter handle, this seems like this might have stemmed from an inside joke that we don’t fully understand — but even so, it’s still pretty darn hilarious.)
If you miss seeing Plaza on screen, make sure you get tickets to the upcoming film Mike and Dave Need Wedding Dates, set to premiere in theaters on July 8th. Until then, happy birthday Aubrey Plaza!
