We might be a few weeks into cuffing season, but this football player’s romantic proposal proves that there’s still hope for anyone in pursuit of a permanent situation. Cosmo reports that Samford University linebacker Deion Pierre enlisted the help of his football team to pop the question to his girlfriend Jasmine Armani at the end of a game on Oct. 15 and the result will leave you uncontrollably ugly crying and clutching your Kleenex for dear life.

Samford University’s athletic team shared the proposal video on YouTube and it’s so sweet it’s giving us chills, y’all. The team begins by forming a circle around Armani (who is understandably bawling her face off) as Ed Sheeran’s “Thinking Out Loud” plays in the background. The ballers all sing and dance as Pierre separates from the group and takes Armani’s hand. At this point, he takes a knee and HIS TEAMMATES DO THE SAME, YOU GUYSSSS, aaand yep, here comes the flood of tears.

What makes this moment even more special is that Armani flew in from out of town for the game and thought she was going out to the field to take pics with her BF. “I saw the rest of the team come out but i didn’t see [him]. I started walking towards them, squinting my eyes looking for his jersey number, she told Cosmo. “Thats when all of a sudden I noticed they were in lines, facing me and slowly walking towards me,” she said, revealing that Sheeran’s heartfelt tune is the couple’s special song.
