FKA twigs’s film “Soundtrack 7” gets its TV debut this Sunday
The most electrifying thing about FKA twigs isn’t just her music — it’s the full scope of her artistic vision. The electro-R&B singer made a name for herself with intimately sensual songs like “Two Weeks” and “How’s That,” and put out a landmark visual EP last year.

Also last year, FKA twigs completed a week-long residency at the UK’s Manchester International Festival. The result of that project was an art/autobiographical film Soundtrack 7. While it was open to the public at parts, Soundtrack 7 was mostly only accessible to the wider world through her posts on Tumblr.
Until now: The Soundtrack 7 film debuts on BBC tomorrow night at 11:30pm (British time), and will be available elsewhere.
In a short preview for the piece, we can watch FKA twigs and some seriously coordinated dancers break it down to (a remix of?) her song “Numbers”:

As FKA twigs has an album and several EPs to pull music from, Soundtrack 7 will hopefully span her entire career — from EP 2 to latest single “Good To Love.” So while it doesn’t seem like any new music will be surprise dropping in the film, there’s no guarantee that there won’t be any surprises, right? Hey, the woman clearly takes her time crafting intricate, intimate set pieces around her music, and we can’t wait to see what she’s yet to unleash on the world.
