This fitness trainer had the perfect clapback for a guy who tried to body-shame her on Instagram

Another day, another badass lady laying down the law with some out-of-line troll. On Monday, fitness trainer Jessi Kneeland posted a cute and silly gym selfie, and used the image to take a sec to discuss body image and cellulite. Her caption is true, encouraging, and a little funny. (She calls cellulite “fancy fat” and “a decoration,” which we kind of love.)

"There is absolutely nothing objectively true about statements like 'cellulite is ugly' or 'perfectly smooth and toned is more attractive.' Those are just examples of a social reality we pass along to each other so often, that our brains start to believe they must be true, they're 'natural,' or they're 'just the way things are,'" she wrote.

But of course, some people on the internet get pretty bold behind the anonymity of a key board. And that goes double for any time a woman speaks honestly about nearly anything. After Kneeland shared the above pic, some guy felt the need to share his opinion. (Did we ask!?)

And that’s when Kneeland clapped. back.

In a mirror selfie with the offending troll’s comment screenshotted and pasted over her lower body, Kneeland wrote, “LOLOLOLOL this comment was left by a hater, on the cellulite photo I posted yesterday. This photo was taken this morning. Sorry dude, I didn’t realize I have cellulite because I’m just TOO FAT!!”

She added,

"Me and my 'unnatural, unhealthy body fat' are just gonna be over here helping women understand that there is NOTHING wrong with cellulite (or anything else about their bodies!) and that trolls like you are ignorant and uneducated."

She’s right, of course — cellulite is totally natural, not harmful, and can be caused by many things, including hormonal changes and changes in blood supply.

We’re always here for ladies speaking out about and shutting down body-shaming, so it’s safe to say we’re fans of Jessi for life.
