The first trailer for “Tulip Fever” makes it clear this will be our steamy romance obsession of the year

Based on the novel by Deborah Moggach, Tulip Fever looks like it’s going to be one of our favorite romantic films coming out this year. In the first trailer sets the scene in 17th century Amsterdam. An orphaned girl (Alicia Vikander) is forcibly married to a rich and powerful merchant (Christoph Waltz). After her husband commissions a portrait of his wife, she begins a passionate affair with painter (Dane DeHaan), a struggling young artist. DeHaan tries to enter the tumultuous tulip bulb market, hoping to make enough money to buy their freedom.
And, of course, drama and tension ensues.

The film was supposed to be released last year, but it has faced some setbacks.
After not being released in February, the new release date for the film is August 25th, 2017.
From the looks of it, it will be well worth the wait.
This film also has an interesting cast. Cara Delevingne, Matthew Morrison, and Zach Galifianakis also make appearances in the film.
Oh, and Tulip Fever is directed by the same guy who directed Shakespeare in Love, Justin Chadwick. So you know that it’s going to be packed with romance that we’ll obsess over.
We can’t wait to see the next trailer to see what this film has in store for our hearts!
