The first trailer for the JonBenét Ramsey docuseries is here, and it’s a serious must see

If you came of age in the ’90s, there’s really no way you don’t remember the JonBenét Ramsey case. Tabloid fodder for literally decades, it involved the tragic murder of 6-year-old pageant queen JonBenét, who was found dead in the basement of her home after being missing for hours. No one was ever charged with the crime, and it’s been the center of speculation and conspiracy theories for years.
So it’s no surprise that in our current golden age of true crime podcasts and miniseries like Serial and Making a Murderer, CBS is reopening the investigation in a docuseries called The Case of: JonBenét Ramsey. And from the looks of the new trailer, it’s going to be majorly compelling.
Take a look at the latest trailer here (warning: it’s definitely disturbing).
The show will be bringing together a team of prominent experts — from forensic scientists to criminal psychologists — to investigate the case from square one and to hopefully overturn any stones the original investigative team may have missed. From the looks of it, they’ve even created an exact replica of the Ramsey’s home at the time of JonBenét’s murder in order to test out different breaking and entering theories.
The show premieres September 18th, and it’s definitely jumped to the top of our “must-watch list.” And — most importantly — maybe, just maybe, it will help finally bring some justice to JonBenét.
