The first trailer for “Descendants 2” is finally here

Well, it looks like it was definitely worth the wait. The trailer for Descendants 2 was just revealed, and it looks like this might be the Disney Channel event of the year. The movie, which focuses on the children of some of Disney’s most beloved villains, has been in talks for quite some time. Probably since the original came out, back in 2015. (It seems like it’s been way longer than that.)

According to Forbes, Descendants 2 will be debuting on five different Disney stations: Disney Channel, ABC, Disney XD, Lifetime, and FreeForm. So it’s pretty obvious that Disney is extremely psyched about the film.

It seems like Mal, played by actress Dove Cameron, will pretty much be the star of the show.

"Everybody wants me to be this lady of the court, and I have no idea how to keep up the act," her character states with frustration.

And from there, she pretty much goes back to her old ways.

Hey, it’s tough to be someone you aren’t.

We also get a great look at Uma, played by China Anne McClain. A new character, she’s the daughter of Ursula. And she has a ton of chemistry with Cameron and the rest of the gang.

Excited? So are we. But wait just a second — Disney also revealed a pretty incredible music video as well.

Called “Ways to be Wicked,” it’s already available for download. If you buy it now, you’ll definitely learn all the words in time for the movie’s big premiere on July 21st. It’s pretty catchy, so you’ll probably be singing it all week. After all, “there’s so many ways to be wicked.”
