The first trailer for the new Adam Driver movie “Paterson” is out, and it looks so good

If you like dramatic indie films, Paterson will probably be quite appealing. But if you’re a big fan of Girls, or happen to be from New Jersey, the film will be a must-see. The movie, written and directed by the famous Jim Jarmusch, stars Adam Driver as a bus driver in Paterson, New Jersey.
You might be getting a good idea of what his character is like from that alone (is this Garden State, part two?) but thankfully, a trailer just came out to help viewers see what Driver’s character — also named Paterson — is all about.

So, he’s an artsy and poetic bus driver who seems to be at peace with his job. And wait — he has an adorable English bulldog as well? Perfect.
Also featured quite heavily in the trailer is the gorgeous Golshifteh Farahani, who plays Paterson’s lady-friend Laura.
Want to hear something incredible? Jarmusch has been working on the treatment for this film for about 20 years. Of course he admits that he took a bunch of breaks between writing it down and production, but this film definitely wasn’t shot on the fly. Another fun fact? Adam Driver enrolled himself into bus driving school just to prep for the movie.
"Our production was arranging for Adam to get a bus license, and while we were trying to organize it, Adam on his own figured it out and was already in the school," Jarmusch said to Variety.
Sounds like Driver is pretty passionate about the roles he takes on! You can catch Paterson, which will be released by Amazon Studios, on December 28th.
