The first pics from the Abigail Breslin and Sarah Hyland “Dirty Dancing” remake are here, and they’re red hot

Nobody puts Abigail Breslin in the corner! Photos from the “Dirty Dancing” remake starring Abigail Breslin just appeared on social media and we’re having the time of our lives looking through them. Scream Queens alum, Breslin stars as Frances “Baby” Houseman in the ABC three-hour film set to air May 24th. Cast members, including Breslin herself, released a series of pics giving eager fans a sneak-peak at the adaptation.

And just like the original, these dance scenes look hot, hot, hot!

Breslin posted this pic yesterday with the caption, "casually dancing around a fireplace, as one does. #sneakpeek #dirtydancing may24th @abcnetwork."

"AND just casually dippin' around a fireplace. As one also does. #sneakpeek #dirtydancing," Breslin wrote in the caption of a follow-up picture.

Sarah Hyland of Modern Family fame plays Baby’s older sister Lisa Houseman in the adaptation. Hyland posted a photo of her character yesterday, as well, teasing us that there are many more pictures to come.

We want to see them now, Sarah!

Fans of the original 1987 romance starring Jennifer Grey and Patrick Swayze will appreciate that the ABC remake will stay true to the original plot line. But the remake will also explore more details, like what happened to Baby and Johnny after the summer is over.

Will & Grace’s Debra Messing plays Baby’s mother Marjorie Houseman in the remake. She told People,

"My hope is that people who loved the movie are going to be happy with all the things that are iconic with the movie, that they’ll appreciate the things that are new and modernized with this version."

We have no doubt that this ABC adaptation is going to be our new springtime obsession. Set a reminder to tune into ABC on Wednesday, May 24th at 8 p.m. EST to see your favorite film come to life all over again.
