All the epic highlights from the first ever ‘Lip Sync Battle’

Lip Sync Battle, which is just a way longer version of the lip sync segment on The Tonight Show, premiered last night on Spike TV. And it was EPIC. LL Cool J and Chrissy Teigen hosted, and we learned that LL Cool J and Chrissy Teigen are the best hosts, ever. We also learned that when two celebs really, really want to win at lip-syncing, hilarious things happen. Here’s the run-down of what happened last night:

The first contestants to lip-sync their way to the top were Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson and Jimmy Fallon. The Rock “sang” along to T-Swift’s “Shake it Off,” but not before LL Cool J suggested Fallon and Johnson wrestle. Because why not, right?

After this, Jimmy Fallon chose “Jump in the Line” by Harry Belafonte, and demonstrated some romantic salsa moves for everyone. The Rock followed this up by getting down with his bad disco self with the Bee Gees’ “Stayin’ Alive,” but Fallon really, REALLY topped off the show when he crooned to Madonna’s “Like A Prayer.”

The second part of Lip Sync Battle was even MORE intense (can you believe it?). John Legend came up on stage (Chrissy, did you put your man up to this?) to go up against Common. Legend chose “Slow Motion” by Juvenile and MC Hammer’s “U Can’t Touch This,” and it was super adorable (like most things are when John Legend does them). However, Common was the one who totally stole the show with The Jackson 5’s “I Want You Back” and “All Night Long” by Lionel Richie.

Next week, Anne Hathaway and Miley Cyrus are going to have lip-sync it out, which is going to be the most random, and greatest battle, ever. We can’t wait! Lip Sync Battle airs on Spike TV on Thursdays at 10/9 central.
