The first ‘Beauty and the Beast’ cast photo happened! *screams*

We’re not quite sure how to say this but, it’s finally here! We have a cast photo from Beauty and the Beast! Ok, so it’s not in costume and isn’t a full cast photo, but still! We’ve got Emma Watson, Dan Stevens, Josh Gad, Luke Evans, and Kevin Kline. In other words, Belle, The Beast, Gaston, LeFou, and Belle’s dad were all hanging out. And they took a selfie. And they posted it to social media. And we just keep looking at it and trying to imagine these beauties in full Beauty and the Beast costume.

The photo was posted to Instagram yesterday by Josh Gad, with the caption, “Can’t wait for you to be our guest.” We can’t wait either, Josh!

Just look at their adorable and excited faces! Is it possible that they’re as pumped about the movie as we are?

To recap a little on what we know about this upcoming Beauty and the Beast. Obviously we know the cast featured in this shot. We also know that Sir Ian McKellen is playing Cogsworth, Emma Thompson is our Mrs. Potts, Audra McDonald will be Garderobe (the wardrobe), and Gugu Mbatha-Raw (who you totally know from Belle) will play Plumette the feather duster.

We also know that we are at the very beginning of a long waiting game: the movie won’t hit until 2017. Still we are PUMPED to see that work has begun, the cast is assembled, and our dreams are finally coming true.

Other exciting news about the reboot: the music. The film will be scored by Academy Award winner Alan Menken, who was the brain behind so many of our favorite songs in the 1991 animated version. Plus, this new version will feature new recordings of those musical favorites along with some brand new songs.

This is a lot for our hearts to take but it’s all such fantastically good news. In sum: yes, Josh Gad. We are totally ready to be your guest.
