Everything we know about ‘Finding Dory’ (the ‘Finding Nemo’ Sequel!)
Do you like fish? Do you like stories about fish? How an epic fish story, about a fish — and her friends — on a cross-sea adventure? If you answered ‘YES’ to any one of those questions, then Finding Dory is a movie you need to be excited about right now. That’s right, in case you’ve been living under a very large sea urchin, Finding Nemo is getting a sequel, and it is going to focus on everyone’s favorite forgetful fish, Dory (who will once again be voiced by Ellen DeGeneres. Hooray!).
The president of Disney Pixar studios, Jim Morris, attended the Comic Con Experience in Brazil and dropped some major plot points about the upcoming movie. While Finding Nemo was a movie about literally trying to track down the captured little clown fish, Finding Dory is going to be about Dory trying to discover herself — which might be a difficult — but obviously hilarious — feat considering her short term memory problems. Dory, along with the father-son team of Marlin and Nemo, will set off for the Marine Biology Institute of California, where Dory spent her fishy childhood before being released into the wild.
While most secrets about the movie are still locked up tight, we do know that Dory’s parents are set to make an appearance, and her mom will be voiced by Diane Keaton, and her dad voiced by Eugene Levy. Modern Family‘s Ty Burrell will voice a beluga wale named Baily. Finding Dory will also include other aquatic friends, like an octopus and sea lions, with the possibility of our favorite Finding Nemo characters to pop up, too. I hope it includes the return of Bruce the shark.
If you can’t wait until June 17th 2016, because I know I can’t, relive Ellen’s big Finding Dory announcement, because out of all of us, she is the most excited for this sequel.
