Find light where you can, give light where you can

Happy Wednesday, fellow cute people!

It’s actually feeling like fall out there. I hope you’re cozy and feeling fine.

I know this is a cute, upbeat place most of the time, and I like to keep it that way as much as possible, but the news has been awful lately. Between seemingly endless hurricanes, earthquakes, and this week’s tragedy in Vegas, it only seems right to acknowledge the stress that all this bad news can put on us. It definitely gets to me.

I hope that you’re taking the time to take care of yourself. During weeks like this, I like to focus on the small, beautiful things that happen in a day. I tell myself: “Take what you can get. Look for the light where you can find it.”

So that’s what I’ve got for y’all today. I really, really hope that action is taken beyond thoughts and prayers to end tragedies and suffering like what Vegas has seen this week. I also hope you can find joy and light in a million tiny places.
