Here’s our first look at the final season of ‘Downton Abbey’

As hard as this will be to believe, Downton Abbey is getting ready to host its last dinner party. Soon, we won’t have afternoon tea in the parlor, strolls around the village, and sassy one-liners from the Dowager Countess to look forward to. After six seasons, the much beloved upstairs/downstairs period drama is coming to a close, and Mr. Carson is going to have to accept that the times, they are a’changing.

Ahead of its Season 6 debut, we’ve got a brand new trailer for the show and it is a DOOZY — have a fainting couch nearby, just in case. Though it’s light on actual plot, one thing is made clear: Downton is closing up, and everyone’s going to have a lot of feelings about it.

The trailer also teases that we might finally get some resolution for our favorite characters. Is that Lady Edith looking magnificent (YOU GO, EDITH) with a potential male suitor? Is Daisy about to become a homeowner? Did Anna just SMILE? It also looks like there might be one last wedding in Downton’s future, before it’s time to say goodbye to the estate for good.

There’s just one small thing to point out regarding Downton’s return: While the promo says it’ll be back on September 20, the U.S. of A won’t get to see it until January 3, 2016. I know, I KNOW. Downton is going to start airing in the UK in September, but everyone stateside will still have to wait four more months to check out all the upcoming Crawley drama.

Also, haunting-and-perfect song from the promo is forever-stuck in your head now, it’s “Time To Say Goodbye,” sung by Lauren Aquilina. Now, go call everyone down to the library and gather round to watch the new trailer.
