Filled Cupcake Oreos are on the horizon, which means it’s time to cry happy tears

Oreo just won’t quit. It seems like every time we turn around, they’re introducing delicious new flavors like Red Velvet, Brownie Batter, Toasted Coconut, and the new/perfect Cinnamon Bun.

And now, they’ve somehow procured magic powers to raise the bar even further in a move that should make other cookie brands say, “Whoa whoa whoa…yeah, we give up.” They have taken the guesswork out of questioning whether we want cake or cookies for dessert by announcing the newest flavor of Limited Edition Oreo: the Filled Cupcake Oreo.

Oh yes, my friends. You, too, can break all your health-food-related New Year’s resolutions with these bad boys that don’t only promise a new flavor. Oh, no no. The star of the Filled Cupcake Oreo lies not just in its taste, but in its structure. Exhibit A: a creamy chocolate center, in which a dollop of crème filling sits smack dab in the middle. All the crunchy exterior goodness of a classic Oreo, plus more chocolate, without having to sacrifice a crème center? TELL ME MORE.

This new mouth-watering cookie hits grocery shelves Feb. 8 which, for those of you keeping count, is less than a week away. But if you can’t wait that long (we get it), apparently there’s a newly opened Oreo Wonder Vault in New York City that houses them – so maybe go check it out ASAP if you’re in that area, and report back on your findings.

What will Oreo give us next? Personally I’m holding out for a Nutella version, but I recognize that I live in a fantasy world. If it happens, though, you may never hear from me again. Because I will build an island out of Nutella Oreos and live on it, like a dessert-addled Luke Skywalker.
